First Steps

First Steps is a service for children of pre-school age, from babes in arms upwards. It is held in church on the second Wednesday of each month, beginning at 2.00pm (gather from 1.45pm) and it is a very simple service of children's songs with jingle bells and thankyou prayers. We have a little toy sheep that comes and joins us but he is naughty sometimes and wanders off so often the children have to help us find him. When he is good he is very, very good and when he is bad he is horrid, but the children are very fond of him. He had a starring role in our Crib Service at Christmas when he was actually allowed to be in the Stable with Baby Jesus, so he was very honoured. And he was very well behaved! He also came along to our children's Hot Cross Bun Service on Good Friday and he now thinks that he is going to be playing a part in all our special children's services. We shall see, so watch this space!

After our little service we gather in the church hall for refreshments and play. We always have fun so come and join us and meet our little lost sheep; the more the merrier!! Our services run in the school holidays too and older brothers and sisters are welcome to join us too.

We look forward to seeing you!
